Dear Patients,
Dear Patients, I am pleased to share a brief update about my participation in the Personalized Arthroplasty Society (PAS) — an international organization that brings together outstanding orthopedic surgeons from around the world who promote a personalized and innovative approach to knee and hip arthroplasty, using the latest technologies such as computer navigation and robotics.
What is PAS?
PAS is an organization whose mission is to “bring together a community of innovators who strive to personalize the patient journey in arthroplasty.” Initially, its focus was on personalization strategies in knee replacement (e.g., alignment and implant positioning), but today its vision covers the entire treatment process. Being one of fewer than 500 members gives me the opportunity to stay up to date with the world’s best standards and technologies, which I translate directly into benefits for my patients in Poland.
The Event — PAS Meeting in Rome
During this two-day event, I attended lectures, workshops, and panel discussions on topics such as:
personalized techniques in knee and hip arthroplasty,
the use of computer navigation and robotics in surgery,
designing implants tailored to the individual patient,
managing complex joint deformities in joint replacement surgery.
What Does This Mean for My Patients?
Participation in such an event has a real impact on the quality of care I provide:
Thanks to my knowledge of the latest technologies (robotics, navigation), I can offer — when clinically indicated — highly precise and individually tailored surgical solutions.
Understanding how to personalize implant positioning means that each procedure can be better adapted to your anatomy, activity level, expectations, and medical condition, which may result in greater comfort, faster recovery, and longer implant longevity.
By staying up to date with the latest research, I ensure that my approach is evidence-based rather than routine, which translates into greater safety and improved outcomes.
With regards,
Dr Paweł Olszewski
